Pay and View Student Bills Online
The University is launching an electronic billing and payment service in early 2009. Students will receive an e-mail notification when their bill is available for viewing. Students can authorize parents, guardians, and others to view their bills. Payments can be made online by e-check or credit card (Discover, MasterCard, and American Express). Printed bills will continue to be mailed to billing addresses through March 2009. Look for more details in January.

Sell Back Your Books for Cash
Now is the best time of year to sell your textbooks. Bring them to the Bookstore, along with your student ID after you finish your exams. The Bookstore will also be buying back books outside of Danforth on Dec. 15 and 16 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. and in Wilson Commons on Dec. 16 and 17 from noon to 4 p.m.
Study Breaks at Eastman
Eastman students can stop by ESM Annex 708 between 2 and 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16 to re-energize with a movie, play-doh, coloring books and cookies. The Eastman Commons Dining Center will also be open late, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., on Dec. 16 with bagels, fruit and cereal at 9:30 p.m.
Book Preorders Available Online
Want used textbooks? Preorder your books online, and pick them up at the Bookstore when you come back to campus in January. Web orders are boxed up before everyone returns to campus, so ordering online gives you your best chance at getting used textbooks. Read more...
Nikki Giovanni to Give MLK Address

Dining News
Connections, in Rush Rhees Library, will remain open 24 hours throughout Finals Week and will close at 2 p.m on Saturday, Dec. 20. Also this week, Danforth Dining Center will be serving all-day breakfast. A complete Dining Services final exams and break schedule can be found online.
Bookstore Hours Change during Break
The Bookstore will have reduced hours over winter break. The Bookstore will be open: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Dec. 22-23; closed Dec. 24-28; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 29-30; closed Dec. 31 to Jan.4. Regular hours resume Jan. 5.
Book Drive Continues During Finals
Throughout finals week, Circle K is running a book drive in coordination with Better World Books. There are two collection boxes: One in the Common Connection office in Wilson Commons and the other outside of the River Campus Bookstore (at the bottom of the stairs in Douglas). Consider making a donation before winter break by dropping off old textbooks or any other nonfiction college-level texts.
Tour the Art Gallery This Month
The Memorial Art Gallery has several tours scheduled in January. A docent-led tour of Transition: Russian Icons from the Age of the Romanovs meets at the admission desk at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19 and Sunday, Dec. 21. A MAG Highlights Tour, which includes a tour of the museum's collections, meets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18. Tours are free with gallery admission.
