Center for Electronic Imaging Systems
The Center for Electronic Imaging Systems is one of fourteen NYSTAR-sponsored Centers for Advanced Technology devoted to enhancing general economic growth in New York State by promoting technology transfer from Universities to Industry.
Center for Optics Manufacturing
In this University-corporate venture, scientists and engineers revolutionize optics manufacturing by developing ways to automate the design and manufacture of optical elements.
Center for Language Sciences
The Center for the Sciences of Language supports research, and graduate and post-doctoral training aimed at understanding natural language from a cognitive science perspective.
Paleomagnetic Research Group
Graduate and undergraduate students in earth sciences and participate in Arctic expeditions, ocean drilling programs and other research projects sponsored by the Paleomagnetic Research Group.
Resource for the Study of Neural Models of Behavior
The goal of the Research Resource is to relate the neural codes of the brain to observed behavior. The resources center comprises several labs, including the Virtual Reality Lab, the Spatial Orientation and Sensorimotor Integration Facility, and the Anthropomorphic Simulation Laboratory.
Rochester Theory Center for Optical Science and Engineering
The Center has several mandates, the principal one being to provide postdoctoral training in frontier areas of optical science and technology.
Wireless Communication and Networking Group
Research from this group leads to developments in communication and networking solutions for both sensor networks and mobile ad-hoc networks. The group is sponsored by Kodak, Xerox, Harris Corp., and others.
