The Provost’s Circle Scholars

The Provost’s Circle Scholars, inaugurated in Spring 2009, recognizes the outstanding academic achievements of a select group of undergraduate students participating on varsity teams. The honor is bestowed on approximately 10 student-athletes who have achieved the highest cumulative GPA among all student-athletes through the first semester of the junior year. This is an important campus recognition for academic achievement that might not otherwise be celebrated.

The Department of Athletics nominates students for the Provost’s Circle. The award recipients are honored at a dinner at the Patrick Barry House, the official residence of the Provost.
