Cyrus participated as one of the representatives from technology and speakers from various fields also joined the symposium including Lucy Hood, a corporate strategy expert in digital entertainment, Jonathan Taplin, a director of USC Annenberg Innovation Lab, Elizabeth Currid-Halkett, a professor of Price School of Public Policy and many others. Cyrus gave a presentation about IMSC Big Data Activities in three of IMSC’s focused applications: Intelligent Transportation, Intelligent Surveillance, and Intelligent Campus and discussed the underlying challenges in acquisition, storage, access and analysis of real-time and heterogonous Big Data in real-world applications including transportation, health and energy.
