Hair is an indispensible ingredient in realizing virtual human character. In IMSC, we have developed a set of techniques for human hair modeling, rendering, and animation.

While DVD and high definition television deliver 5.1 channels of sound to consumers today, in the future these systems will seem as antiquated as the monophonic recordings of Caruso, which were created in the early 1900's.

This project addresses several research topics related to virtual reality, augment reality, geometry modeling, motion tracking, and visualization.

This work develops a system to extract the semantic video units, i. e. the scene and event, from the underlying movie sequence. Multiple media cues have been employed including audio and visual information.
