On Campus Career & Internship Fairs

Recruit oUR Best!

The Spring Career and Internship Fair was originated and founded by the National Society of Black Engineers in the Spring of 2001 and will be held on February 18th, 2009. This event is open to all students and disciplines that attend the University of Rochester, with a primary focus on undergraduate students in the colleges of Arts and Science, and the College of Engineering.

The agenda for both days includes:

  • Check in and set-up -- 12:00 noon.
  • Open Forum -- 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Employers can exchange information, and collect resumes’, while educating and motivating students and, if desired, add students to an afternoon interview schedule.
  • Pre-screened interviews -- 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Employers receive resume collections approximately two weeks prior, and interview pre-selected candidates who are scheduled in advance. Additional interviews, as a result of career fair interactions, can be arranged. Highly motivated and focused liberal arts and engineering students want to learn about opportunities you offer and share their qualifications with you.

Additional Promotional Opportunities:

  • The Career and Internship Day Directories are given to all students who attend the event. The Directory is a great way to ensure that specific candidates visit you during the day of your participation. If your organization cannot attend, the Directory is the very best way to educate candidates regarding your opportunities and inform them of particular deadlines and, if appropriate, on-campus activities.
  • Our UR Successful Career Center Handbooks provide the opportunity to contact approximately 3,000 talented undergraduates who use this publication as a “how to guide” and an overview of the resources offered by our office. Almost all seniors and most undergraduates thoroughly and regularly review these publications. Don’t miss the chance to have your organization highlighted as one of our strongest recruiting relationships.
