University of Rochester R Club Membership

The R Club is an opportunity for faculty, staff, alumni, friends and any non-full time student to be a member of the River Campus Sports Complex. Membership includes the use of the entire River Campus Sports Complex, as well as optional participation in any of the organized programs offered through Recreational Sports. Private or Group Tennis and Squash Lessons are also available for registration by contacting the Front Desk at (585) 275-7643.

Full-time matriculated students (undergraduate or graduate) are automatically members of the R Club. All others should contact the Department of Athletics & Recreation at (585) 275-7643 for an application. Applications may also be printed from this website. See below. For further information see the Department Brochure, available at the Front Desk of the Goergen Athletic Center.

2009 - 2010 Membership Prices

Annual membership is based on the anniversary date of the completed application. Membership notices will be issued one month prior to the membership anniversary date.

Any additional secondary member must be a spouse, partner or a dependent under age of 22 years.

Academic Year Short Term Fee (one month): $50. Limited to faculty/staff only.

Payments are accepted in cash, credit card (MasterCard or VISA,) by check (payable to the University of Rochester R Club) or by payroll deduction (see below.)

Payroll Deduction

Payroll deduction is available to all UR employees. Payroll deduction may include a locker. Payroll deduction requires four weeks for processing. Once initiated, it is the responsibility of the employee to notify the Assistant Director for the R Club to make any changes to the deduction.

Locker Rentals

Annual Rental: Facility users may rent a locker for year use. There are two locker rooms: the Hajim Alumni Gym or the Zornow Center. The former is located adjacent to the Bloch Fitness Center and the latter is located in close proximity to the Speegle-Wilbraham pool. Locker rentals are accepted at the Front Desk.

Day Use: A limited number of lockers are available in the hallways for one-day-only use. These lockers can be secured by personal locks or by using free tokens available at the Central Issue window. Any items left in these lockers overnight, including personal locks, will be removed. The Department of Athletics and Recreation does not assume responsibility for items left in any lockers.
