Rufus Hedges '26

At Rochester:

• Competed in four sports at the University—football, basketball, baseball, and track and field
• Held the school record for the javelin throw
• Captain of the basketball team
• Described at one time as "one of the most accomplished guards ever to wear the Rochester colors"
• Member of Keidaeans
• President of the freshman class
• Graduated in 1931 with an A.B.

Post-Graduate:

• Chairman and Treasureer of Hedges Memorial Chapel, Inc., which was founded by his grandfather, Elihu Hedges
• Passed away August, 1995
