The women's swimming and diving team split a double-dual with NYU and Case on Saturday afternoon. Rochester defeated Case, 243-144, and was beaten by NYU, 249.5-139.5.
Rochester had a top-three performance in more than a dozen events, including both diving boards. The meet was scored as three duals: Rochester vs. NYU, Rochester vs. Case, NYU vs. Case. All three teams competed together.
Val Atwood had the top time in the 100 backstroke (1:01.47) and he 200 backstroke (2:15.76). Shannon Moss was third in the 100 back (1:02.98). Emily Scott was second in the 50 (0:25.38) and 100 (0:55.29) freestyles. Atwood led off the winning 200 free relay, which included Cailee Caldwell, Dayna Jacob, and Scott (1:41.47).
Freshman Corinne Lampe was second in the 500 free (5:27.39). She also competed int he 200 fly (2:18.41), the 200 free (2:02.13), and the 400 IM (4:53.56). Lampe swam on the 800 free relay (8:15.38) and the 400 free relay (3:47.33).
On the diving boards, Cheryl Blechman was second on the three meter (212.80) with Sara Spielman third (209.00) and Rachel Delahunta fifth (195.35). In the one-meter diving competition, Spielman was second (204.75) and Delahunta had a 184.55.
