About Our Web Cams

Canon VB-C10R cameraWe use the Canon VB-C10R cameras, which are capable of capturing videos at up to 30 fps. This gives us smooth full motion in real time. Motion-JPEG is used to compress video images. Video quality is high. Up to twenty users can connect to the camera at a time.

The cameras are capable of full high-performance pan, tilt, and 16x zoom. The pan angle is up to 200 degrees and a tilt angle of 100 degrees (10 degrees up and 90 degrees down). camera in enclosure

The outdoor camera is housed in a climate controlled enclosure, which provides a heater for winter and a blower to reduce fogging. This is a valuable enhancement in the Rochester climate.

We provide remote camera control from the Internet allowing people from all over the world to view our campus in real time and see far more than static cameras.

Eight preset camera angles (camera head aim and zoom position) are provided for quick access to notable views.

Each camera is equipped with a built-in Web server that enables both Web pages and videos to be distributed though the Web by a single unit.

Simple set up and management allows us to adjust functionality as events may require. The vendor for our cameras is NuSpectra of Alameda, California.
