Timetable for Faculty Handbook Revisions
May 11, 1998
- Memo to all faculty informing them of the proposed revision process. (Option will be given for faculty to request a hard copy of the proposed revisions from the Provost's office.)
September 21, 1998
- Distribute annotated draft to the University Committee on Tenure and Privileges, the Academic Affairs Committee, and the Executive Committee of the Faculty Senate.
- Make annotated draft available for general review through the web.
October, 1998
- Meet with Faculty Senate committees and other school-based advisory committees to review and discuss proposed revisions.
- Review key issues with Faculty Senate.
November, 1998
- Follow-up meetings with committees (if necessary).
- Review key issues with Faculty Senate.
- Deadline for receipt of comments regarding proposed revisions. (11/25/98)
December, 1998
- Final presentation to Faculty Senate regarding proposed revisions.
- Memo to all faculty summarizing the major revisions to the handbook.
February, 1999
- Revised handbook presented to Board of Trustees for approval.
